Job Summary

Full time Team Lead opportunity for a 14+ ACP Hospitlaist group. Through collaboration with the management team, the  ACP Team Lead promotes a productive, quality-focused and fiscally responsible work team through effective leadership and problem-solving skills.  Performs all functions of the ACP ( NP/PA), assuming responsibility for determining the patient’s health and medical status by taking a health history, performing physical exams, initiating screening and diagnostic procedures, providing health maintenance services, and managing acute and chronic illness. Functions as a team lead assisting the Director/Manager with mentoring others and supervisory responsibilities as needed.

Minimum Qualifications

Education: Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing and Nurse Practitioner Program OR a graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant Program required.

Experience: Minimum of three (3) years clinical experience preferred. Additional experience may be required for some specialties.

Licensure,certification,and/or registration: Current state Licensed Nurse Practitioner (LNP) and Registered Nurse (RN) license required OR Certification by the NCCPA and Current Physician Assistants license (PA) required. DEA licensure required.

Life Support: AHA BLS-HCP required; ACLS preferred.

Other Minimum Qualifications: Eligible for prescriptive authority in accordance with State regulations and as authorized by the Virginia Boards of Nursing and Medicine. Meets credentialing requirements. Demonstrates excellent written and oral communication, problem-solving, negotiation and interpersonal skills. Computer literacy required for automated computer systems and programs such as electronic medical records. Qualifies for malpractice insurance and is accepted by Carilion Clinic’s malpractice insurance carrier.
