Organizes, administers, implements, and evaluates the overall effectiveness of an academic program. Provides leadership within the program and facilitates communication and implementation of College policies and procedures. Leads program faculty and staff. Communicates with students, faculty, staff, and healthcare organizations. Teaches online courses and advises students. Maintains regular on-campus office hours.  Engages in scholarly activity.

Minimum Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications Required

EDUCATION:  Doctoral degree required. A doctoral degree in Healthcare Administration/Management is preferred. A  MHA or MBA with a doctoral degree in a related field will be considered. Degrees must be from a regionally accredited college/university.

 

EXPERIENCE:  Five years’ experience teaching in a healthcare administration/management program or minimum five years’ experience as a healthcare manager is required. Prefer experience in online teaching, academic program evaluation, and CAMHE accreditation standards.   

 

 LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRATION:  Certification in a healthcare management field is desirable. Actively participates in the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE).

 

OTHER MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:  Strong oral and written communication skills. Understanding of educational principles and methodologies. Outstanding leadership and management abilities. Evidence of related scholarship or research.
