Responsible for implementing teaching strategies in the classroom, laboratory, and/or clinical setting that facilitate student learning and the achievement of course objectives. Effectively assesses and evaluates student learning. Uses assessment and evaluation data to enhance the teaching-learning process.

Minimum Qualifications

Education: Graduate of a CAAHEP accredited surgical technology program. Associate degree from a regionally accredited college required. Baccalaureate degree preferred.

Experience: Minimum two years experience, either in the operating room scrub role or as an instructor in surgical technology, or a combination of both, within the past five years.

Certification: Possess a credential in the field of surgical technology through a national certification program that is accredited by the National Commission on Certifying Agencies (NCCA). Certification in Surgical Technology (CST) from NBSTSA.

Other Minimum Qualifications: Must have ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing. Basic understanding of educational principles and methodologies. Leadership and organizational abilities essential. Job requires all physical requirements to perform essential functions of classroom, laboratory and/or clinical instruction.
