The Technology Services Group Supervisor supervises, coordinates, monitors and assist with daily activities of staff, and is responsible for defining and implementing processes to both grow and improve services provided by staff.  In addition, The Technology Services Group Supervisor schedules, troubleshoots, resolves, and documents processes related to responsibility area, guides and drives the development and activities of an organized team, serves as a subject matter expert, interfaces directly with customers and resolves customer concerns within a team to meet or exceed customer service requirements, develops and provides staff training, and promotes team building & programs for attaining quality service, satisfaction and service goals.

The Technology Services Group Supervisor is responsible for the direct supervision of employees operating in a 7 x 24 “mission critical team". Assigns task and produces work schedules and assist in the hiring and evaluation process, and must possess advanced skills and knowledge of total computer operations and/or client service environment. The Technology Services Group Supervisor communicates frequently with staff of client departments, and TSG on service requests, downtime notification, or problem resolution, and deals with vendor service personnel as required.

Minimum Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

Education:          

Associates degree or 5 years IT experience required

Experience:       

Minimum of five years leadership experience in information technology, technical services, or healthcare.  Experience with technical project management, software and hardware preferred.  Experience with client and vendor management preferred.

Licensure, certification, and/or registration:       

Valid Virginia drivers' license required.  Vendor and/or industry certifications/proficiencies as determined by management.  ITIL V3 Foundation Certification preferred.  PMP desired.

Other Minimum Qualifications:

Intermediate level P/C skills in word processing and spreadsheet.  Good interpersonal skills. Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills and proficient computer system knowledge.  Well organized and detail oriented.

  • Works irregular and weekend work hours, with occasional overnight travel as needed.
  • Participates in an on-call rotation to meet business needs.
  • Intermediate word processing, spreadsheet, project management and PC software skills required.
  • Demonstrates exceptional organizational skills.
  • Practices reflective listening skills.
  • Uses negotiating skills to resolve conflict and build cooperation.
  • Completes multiple assignments within a given timeframe including assignments delegated to others.
  • Develops meeting agendas, facilitates meetings, and records minutes as needed.
  • Provides and ensures timely resolution to customer issues.
  • Plans and works with others on joint projects, and coordinates with others to achieve team objectives.
  • Oversees or leads complex projects or sub-projects.
  • Provides leadership for team members.
  • Adheres to privacy and confidentiality guidelines.
  • Demonstrates accountability for self-development by providing input into personal annual skills
