Job Summary

Provides general billing support for Revenue Cycle functions within specified third party payor team.   Maintains knowledge of billing area assigned. This position works under limited supervision and may look to the Accounts Receivable Insurance Analyst, Team Lead, or Manager for help in answering questions and furthering education around task completion.  Uses discretion/ good judgment in dealing with confidential patient protected information.   Works in a fast-paced, office environment with high productivity and accuracy standards that requires focus and concentration on tedious details and research.


This is an insurance follow up position collecting payments from Anthem BCBS for physician claims. Prior physician billing experience desired. Must be able to meet production and quality standards. Looking for self-motivated person who is organized and able to multi task. Critical thinking skills needed. Must be able to meet deadlines. Excellent communication skills desired. Must have the ability to work efficiently both independently and as a team, to assure all information on claims is correct and clean, and that follow-up is completed per company policy. 

Minimum Qualifications

Education:  High School graduate required; college course work preferred.

Experience:  Two years applicable experience required.  Communication, analytical and problem-solving skills required.  Proficiency in EPIC or other claims processing systems preferred

Other Minimum Qualifications:  Must be able to meet high productivity and accuracy standards. High focus and concentration needed for computer, analytical, organizational and time management skills required. Visual perception and high hand/eye coordination necessary. Requires excellent hearing, clear/concise speech, excellent finger dexterity to operate computer terminal/keyboarding as well as use of a calculator. Must be proficient with word processing, computer/PC skills. Excellent documentation and follow-up skills required.
