Administrative Coordinator - Ortho

Job Summary

This role within the Department of Orthopaedics will handle mutiple tasks. Tasks will include: building clinic templates/schedules, processing provider and clinic schedule changes, building call and OR schedules, tracking time off for physicians and other various duties.

Support Carilion’s hallmarks of service excellence and quality for all job responsibilities. Provides administrative, scheduling, and customer service support to the Department, administrative staff,  QM and clinical staff, to assure quality, efficient and cost effective services.

 

Minimum Qualifications

Education: Associate degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required.

 

Experience: Two years experience in data collection and analysis and/or advanced secretarial support required. Experience in emergency services or physician practice setting preferred.

 

Licensure/Registration/Certification: None

 

Other Minimum Qualifications: Advanced computer skills with knowledge of a variety of software programs, including Microsoft word, Excel, Access, word processing, spreadsheets and presentation or database software.  Excellent communications and organizational skills required.
