Job Summary

The Biomedical Equipment Technician III will Assemble, maintain and repair all types of biomedical equipment utilizing various test equipment and tools necessary for the job, and will perform preventive maintenance in accordance to manufacturer’s recommendations and departmental standards, and will provide medical staff and nursing personnel with equipment in-services as necessary, and will serve as senior engineer and resource to Biomedical Equipment Technicians I and II

Minimum Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

 

Education:

Associates degree in electronic or biomedical technology or equivalent knowledge/experience.  Bachelor’s degree is preferred.

 

Experience:       

Must have a minimum of five years’ experience in the biomedical field.

 

Licensure, certification, and/or registration:       

Must meet requirements of certification of time of hire, with expectation of certification within two years of employment.

 

Other Minimum Qualifications:

Knowledge of electronic theory and skill in testing electronic equipment, anatomy and physiology, electrical and mechanical quantities, and possess good interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to carry out assigned tasks unsupervised per protocol.
