The Director provides the leadership for application planning, acquisition, design, programming, implementation and ongoing support for the Carilion enterprise.  By directing the efforts of several functional teams, the Director will have direct responsibility for managing and directing staff and managers who will be dedicated to supporting the TSG agreed upon goals as well as adhere to the Carilion Clinic Corporate Goals. 

In addition, the Director must lead the maintenance of software and devices, programming, and integration.  

 
 
The Director reports to the Senior Director of IT and is responsible for developing and implementing IT strategy and systems across the enterprise.  Will work closely with business leaders to ensure stable, secure solutions aligned with Carilion Clinic technology architecture standards and practices.  This person will be responsible for enterprise-wide ERP operations and services. Recommends, develops, implements and supports technology solutions for all aspects of the organization.  Defines and implements IT policies, procedures and best practices.  Budgetary and strategic roadmap experience required, as well as metrics focused Supports Carilion's hallmarks of service excellence and quality for all job responsibilities.  Looking for a transformational leader, responsible for leading and developing in a matrixed environment.  The Director is a collaborative leader who understands and leverages Information Technology industry best performance driven outcomes.  The success of a Director requires strong project management and a quality focused approach to the delivery of solutions and services, through people, process and technology.

Minimum Qualifications

Education:          

B/S required, Masters preferred or equivalent clinical/financial experience

 

Experience:       

Minimum of 10 to 15 years in a combination of clinical/financial leadership, consulting or clinical/financial vendor systems experiences.  Highly skilled in the use of personal computers.

 

Licensure, certification, and/or registration:

None required

 

Other Minimum Qualifications:

Excellent oral and written communication skills, knowledge of business practices, positive attitude, self-motivated, ability to work with minimal direction, confident, ability to lead and adapt to change.
