Responsible for planning, organizing, advising, and managing, mobile communication projects. Must be proficient in administration of the Mobile Device Management (MDM) software. Works directly with department and organization leadership to determine mobile device and related software solutions, and formulate training and service plans. Provide leadership and support to mobile device team. Assist manager with tactical planning and participates in the budgeting process. Provides input toward employee evaluations and assist in the selection of job candidates.

Performs specific job responsibilities:
 

  • Administration with limited supervision of the Mobile Device Management (MDM) software, including app deployment and system configuration for the enterprise mobile applications. Serves as the SME (Subject Matter Expert) on mobile device management including reporting and leading policy administration.
  • Maintain inventory and records for all iOS devices and applications and manage mobility user accounts, including creating, adding, deleting and changing as necessary. Monitors porting system queues and completes all porting requests.
  • Develop policies and procedures with little supervision dealing with mobile assets including procurement, use, repair, replacement, and disposal.
  • Research new mobile device technologies and submit recommendations for corporate standards. Work with vendors to establish purchasing and service agreements, devices on hand par levels, etc.
  • Manage wireless accounts owned by Carilion. Research and support ways to enhance mobile communication throughout Carilion.
  • Review and recommend solutions to department heads with mobile communication projects. Research mobile extensions of existing applications and consult on ways to improve productivity.
  • Ensure that all approved projects are meeting time lines, critical paths, and priority levels. Report progress of projects to manager.
  • Provide input toward team member evaluations. Participate in interviewing, selection, and recommendation of applicants.
  • Author technical documentation for help desk and end user training.
  • Monitor, distribute, and insure completion of all service request, problem escalations, and Project Request. Provide regular progress reports to manager. Collaborate with TSG members on problem escalations. Coordinate with TSG departmental leadership with joint projects. 

What We Require:


Education: Associates degree in business or communications/electronic field or equivalent experience.

Experience: Minimum of 10 years experience in communication, project management, and sales or customer service in a leadership role.

Licensure, certification, and/or registration: Valid Virginia drivers license. Required Certifications: Apple Service Fundamentals (SVC-17A), ACiT 2017 iOS certification Exam (iOS -17A). In addition preferred one of the following: AppleCare Mac Technician (ACMT) 2017, CompTIA Network + certification, CompTIA A+.

Other Minimum Qualifications: Excellent customer service skills required. Organizational skills, dependable, detailed oriented, and understanding of the English language. Stays current on all Policy and Procedure required reading. Complete and maintain documentation of a minimum of 24 hours of pertinent continuing education each year.
