How You’ll Help Transform Healthcare:
Performs various EEG neurodiagnostic procedures as requested by physician. Works closely with Supervisor and Manager to coordinate system wide EEG services. Supports New Techs as well as provides continuing education to current techs on a monthly bases.
- Able to perform all Technologist duties.
- Provides quality service in a caring, supportive and professional manner.
- Actively commits to team building and communication efforts, provision for cost-effectiveness, service excellence and respect for everyone by demonstrating actions which support the CarIllon Health System mission, guiding principles, goals and objectives.
- Oversees coordination of shift scheduling, call scheduling and assists with coverage for other EEG technicians when off.
- Provides input on staff's annual performance appraisal.
- Assists with data gathering and quality management for EEG and/or research. Delivers quality management reports to Manager as needed.
- Participates in in-service and educational opportunities for Neurodiagnostic Services. Plans periodic Neurodiagnostic Services meeting in collaboration with the Neurodiagnostic Supervisor and Manager.
- Assists with training of new EEG staff and supports current EEG staff in training of highly specialized procedures and skills check offs.
- Provides monthly education to all Techs, collaborating with the providers.
- 60% Clinical Expectations and 40% Leadership Expectations
What We Require:
Education: Graduation from a Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) accredited Neurodiagnostic Program or equivalent Associate’s Degree or higher from an accredited college or university.
Experience: 3-4 years experience in Neurodiagnostics field will be considered in lieu of education.
Licensure, certification, and/or registration: Certification by the American Board of Registration of Electroencephalographic Technologists, or its equivalent. Registered EEG Technologist must be obtained within 18 months of hire.
Life Support: AHA BLS-HCP & PALS required.
Other Minimum Qualifications: Good interpersonal skills. Must be versatile and flexible both in technical skills and work schedule.
