Job Summary

Facilitates a positive Emergency Department and patient experience by serving as a liaison between the patient and medical staff. Helps to foster open communication and a positive team relationship between medical staff, patients, and their families. Helps to promote a professional atmosphere in the Emergency department as well as focusing on excellence in patient care and customer service. Helps to problem solve with patients and their families to help diffuse potential problem situations within the Emergency Department.

Minimum Qualifications

Education: Bachelors degree required or eight years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree. High School or GED required.

Experience: One to three years experience working with the public required. Healthcare experience preferred. Ability to speak multiple languages, especially English and Spanish, helpful.

Licensure/Certifications/Registration: BLS certification required.

Other Minimum Qualifications: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills required.
