SR Healthcare Reimbursement Analyst

Job Summary

The Healthcare Reimbursement Analyst performs third-party reimbursement services and prepares reimbursement templates, analyzes and reconciles third-party accounts, prepares monthly closing and analyses, and prepares information for General Accounting to enable management to make informed decisions. The Senior Financial Analyst will design, review and maintain process for evaluation and estimation of contractual discounts and third-party liabilities, and approaches all estimates with an eye towards continuous process improvement.

Minimum Qualifications

Education: Bachelors degree in finance/accounting or in business administration with concentration in finance/accounting .


Experience: Minimum of five years of accounting, finance work experience with minimum of three years of current experience in reimbursement, preferably with a hospital/chain or third-party intermediary. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience with Medicare and Medicaid cost reporting, Net revenue budgeting, Contractual allowance/net revenue analysis, Medicare and Medicaid cost report audits, Financial Statement Analysis & Variance Analysis, Third party settlement accounting and analysis, Wage index preparation and audit, and Balance sheet test of reserves.


Licensure, certification, and/or registration: Certified public accountant license preferred.


Other Minimum Qualifications: Strong oral and written communication skills; analytical and personal computer skills including proficiency in use of word processing and spreadsheet software.
