Job Summary

The role of the TSG Agile Manager is to provide support, leadership, and management of the delivery or implementation for assigned clinical, financial, and administrative applications and to ensure the needs of the business are met by implementing and using Agile delivery frameworks.

Duties and responsibilities may include but not limited: 

  • Team Leadership
  • Ensures appropriate staffing, staff management, and performance management of staff members. Implements and maintains the policies and goals for TSG to support Carilion's needs. 
  • Ensures assigned applications are maintained in the current version by planning and implementing necessary upgrades. 
  • Ensures staff participation in assigned work and focuses on high levels of customer service.
  • Agile Delivery Leadership for Scrum and QA Team
  • Prepare the department to utilize agile delivery frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, etc.) by providing training as needed.
  • Execute usage of scrum and Kanban by assigning and coaching teams to deliver by area and by project. 
  • Provide strategic roadmaps to gain leadership support to ensure Agile remains a viable delivery model.
  • Coach the scrum masters, the teams, the organization to increase value, quality, and time to market to our customers.

Minimum Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Healthcare Business or equivalent work experience required.

Experience: Minimum of 8 years of IT experience and a minimum of 2 years of management experience including direct supervision of staff level resources.

Licensure,certification, and/or registration:

Valid Virginia drivers' license and dependable transportation.

 ITIL Foundation Certification


Other: Must be analytical, dependable, and detail oriented.  Must possess strong interpersonal skills and have a command of the English language (both written and oral).  Must demonstrate solid leadership and presentation skills. Must be self-initiated, have excellent problem-solving skills, and be customer service oriented.
