Job Summary
The Director provides the leadership for application planning, acquisition, design, programming, implementation and ongoing support for the Carilion enterprise, as well as:
 
  • Supporting and leading system planning activities, overall acquisition and design activities.
  • Directing programming, integration, customer service, security including direct day to day operations with an emphasis on client service.
  • Leading successful implementation and re-engineering efforts.
  • Resolving priority, resources and vendor conflicts
  • Maintaining and managing excellent client and TSG departmental relationships.
  • Developing leaders and staff within the unit.
  • Meeting annual goals as described in the business plan.
  • Continued leadership in the optimization or acquisition of clinical/financial practice knowledge and sharing of information science knowledge and trends.
  • Manages both planned and unplanned downtime events working in conjunction with the current change control process established in TSG.
  • Has direct budget development, planning and monitoring responsibilities.
  • Participates in management on call rotation and escalation of client calls as directed by policy.
  • Maintains Carilion Culture of Excellence relating to Service Standards.

Minimum Qualifications

Education: B/S required, Masters preferred or equivalent clinical/financial experience

Experience: Minimum of 10 to 15 years in a combination of clinical/financial leadership, consulting or clinical/financial vendor systems experiences.  Highly skilled in the use of personal computers.

Licensure, certification, and/orregistration: N/A

Other Minimum 
Qualifications: Excellent oral and written communication skills, knowledge of business practices, positive attitude, self-motivated, ability to work with minimal direction, confident, ability to lead and adapt to change.
