Serves as a liaison between multiple practice managers and the Administrator or VP (an extension of the Administrator role). Develops and sustains a cohesive, highly functioning leadership team within multiple, diverse and complex practices. Typically supervising three (3) or more Practice Managers, provides leadership in support of high quality patient-centered care, an exceedingly competent and engaged staff, and the achievement of fiscal, score card and process improvement goals and objectives. Oversees accountability for the fiscal administration and overall financial management of the Department. Advises and makes recommendations to practice managers on the prioritization and allocation of department resources and all aspects of the recruitment and retention of staff, instituting office standards and sound budgeting to ensure the financial health of the department is preserved. Plans and develops strategiesfor new and optimal health care processes and services.  Advisor to and primary representative of the Administrator or VP.
 

  • Works with leadership to formulate and implement the vision of the service line and to provide oversight and support for organizational activities. Applies key financial concepts and analysis to decision making. Oversees standards of care, clinical services and development of budgets for all departments within the service line to support continued fiscal growth. Guides managers in the development and implementation of actionable work plans with measurable outcomes. Continually assesses and reallocates resources to meet demands.
  • Holds self and team accountable for maintaining the highest possible performance standards in order to serve a diverse group of customers (patients, employees, physicians, colleagues).
  • Promotes the effective and timely delivery of high quality patient-centered services within areas of responsibility. Recognizes and acts on opportunities for growth and improvement to advance goals of the organization. Utilizes project management principles to accomplish goals, seeks out appropriate resources, and proactively anticipates change within the market, industry, and organization. 
  • Oversees the review of operational goals, plans, fiscal management, including, review of practice budgets, monthly scorecards and financials with key stakeholders in multiple practices as necessary. Oversees operations including: space, information technology support, dissemination of policies and procedures and supervision of staff.
  • Implements administrative and financial priorities, enforces criteria to evaluate office and clinical personnel, facility and equipment needs, operational effectiveness and fiscal requirements of the department, its organizational units and their programs.
  • Works with administration and guides others in creating a safe work environment while  providing opportunities for staff to develop their maximum potential. Facilitates professional growth and development including the provision of in-service programming and an effective performance appraisal process.
  • In conjunction with leadership, guides managementin development and implementation of policies, procedures and programs for compliance with applicable regulatory, licensure and accrediting standards where applicable (Joint Commission, etc).

What We Require:


Education: Bachelor’s degree required. Masters degree preferred. Healthcare discipline preferred or related field approved by Vice President.


Experience: 5 years experience in management, preferable health care environment demonstrating increased and/or diversified responsibility for related service areas required.

Other Minimum Qualifications: Advanced leadership, planning, organizational, and accounting skills to manage multiple and potentially large, complex areas and to direct the successful completion of initiatives and achievement of fiscal goals and process improvement. Maintains a current knowledge of the healthcare and practice management industry. Demonstrated interpersonal and communications abilities to support team cohesiveness and a respectful inclusive culture of service excellence. Ability to engage in public contact work and public speaking. Maintains knowledge of medical coding and billing-related matters for medical specialty. Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, Access and Power Point. Ability to use electronic medical records.
