Data Analyst III

Provides analytical and technical support to service lines and teams on projects that are of large scope or complex nature. Designs databases, maintains databases, and obtains data from other sources to support the functions of the organization. Presents timely, useful data for management use. Serves as technical expert or lead for other analysts. May provide education to co-workers, team members and others on reading reports and doing basic analysis. Tasked with project coordination duties on data related projects.

• Designs and develops useful data from multiple sources and provides various information slices using advanced technical skills.
• Maintains internal databases with appropriate edits and audits using strong validation skills.
• Creates in-depth validation processes to ensure transfer of information is correct.
• Produces routine and complex special reports as needed by service lines, teams, and management to support the evaluation of new projects and existing processes.
• Integrates and analyzes data to support measurement and reporting functions. Generates and resolves ad hoc queries; contacts sites to obtain data clarification as required and makes recommendations for improvement.
• Trouble shoots problems with various computer systems using technical skills and data content knowledge.
• Facilitates meetings and manages team activities in conjunction with projects.
• Educates managers, analysts and other employees on reading reports, basic analysis and basic statistical analysis.

What We Require:

Education: Bachelor’s degree required in Science, Computer Science, Business, or related field, or 4 years relative experience.

Experience: · 4 years complex data analysis and manipulation experience required. Healthcare experience strongly preferred. Project coordination experience strongly preferred. Epic Workbench, Vizient, Data profiling, and data quality analysis experience preferred.

Licensure, certification, and/or registration: · Lean Six Sigma (recommended) · Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) (recommended)

Other Minimum Qualifications: 

• Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills, analytical, dependable, detail oriented, interpersonal skills, customer service oriented 
• Must maintain a high degree of technical proficiency in computer software related to databases, spreadsheets, statistical analysis and other applications. 
• Excellent skills in computer technology, MS Office applications and other software applications required. 
• Experience supporting user data needs.
