Carilion Clinic is seeking for a LPN to work in the adult and pediatric ENT practices.  The LPN will support the hallmarks of service excellence and quality for all job responsibilities.  The LPN will provide practical nursing support in the delivery of quality care for the patient in a physician practice or clinic setting as directed by the physician or mid-level practitioner.

The LPN will share clinic responsibilities for both adult and pediatric patients and assist with pediatric audiology on as needed basis. Previous physician practice and/or pediatric experience desired. Ambulatory EPIC experience highly preferred. There will be driving required to assist with coverage at satellite clinics. The Certified Medical Assistant will primary work site will be Pediatric Otolaryngology/Otolaryngology clinics located at Riverside 3, Roanoke. The applicant must possess good written and verbal communication skills in addition to effective people skills with a desire to work with the public. Individual must be comfortable providing care to both adult and pediatric patient populations, function within a team.

Minimum Qualifications

Education: Graduate of accredited school of practical nursing required, or new graduate of approved program eligible to sit for the Virginia licensure exam.

Experience: One (1) year experience in a physician office preferred.

Licensure/Certification: Current licensure as a Practical Nurse in the State of Virginia (LPN) required. Licensure as a Radiologic Technician Limited if performing radiology. Current AHA BLS-HCP certification required.

Other: Customer driven. Demonstrates a positive demeanor, good verbal and written communication skills, and a professional appearance and approach. Must have the ability to problem-solve and communicate with a wide variety of people in an effective manner. Must exhibit skills to utilize automated computer systems, including electronic medical records. Keyboarding skills required for automated computer systems, including electronic medical records. Fast paced physician practice. Excellent organizational and time management skills.
