This position will primarily be on site with some hybrid opportunities considered in the future. Primary role includes data analysis and project management as the Emergency Department expands in 2025.
Works independently and as a team member in a broad range of division activities. These activities may include, but are not limited to technology planning, development and maintenance of project management and system development methodologies, special training assignments, other specific projects, departmental marketing, research and development, scorecard and dashboard development, data analysis and compilation, performance improvement projects, serve as a consulting resource to all division departments and/or clients as assigned by the VP or Senior Operations Consultant and management of special projects as assigned.
- Lead and support system planning activities and overall service or division design; collaborating with Senior Operations Consultants and leadership.
- Promotes excellent client and division relationships.
- Serves as a resource for the acquisition and dissemination of new healthcare practice knowledge and information science knowledge and trends. Works cooperatively with senior administrative and clinical leadership within, and across assigned divisions to (a) identify improvement opportunities within assigned department(s) or division(s) using state of the art analytical tools and current best practices, (b) establish expectations for improvement initiatives, and (c) determine resources (financial, staff, data, management) needed to accomplish goals (d) facilitate and implement complex improvement/ change plans.
- Conducts timely and successful consulting engagements, such as system assessments, acquisitions, performanceimprovement or workflow reviews, and other consulting engagements as assigned.
- Provides direction for clients, staff, and vendors to resolve problems and difficulties within a given projects and business practices. Make recommendations on how to improve performance, safety, or efficiency.
- Develops standards and methodologies for the department.
- Conducts research and/or development for strategic projects. Work directly with assigned department(s) or division(s) to monitor existing business practices and make recommendations on how to increase performance and/or efficiency. Applies financial and/or productivity models, or other quantitative and qualitative tools, as appropriate for each assignment, and as might be assigned.
- Participates in meetings as assigned and other committees/task forces. Represents the functional leader or department in the requesting, designing, and implementation of services including design, renovation, technology/reporting, and other venues as directed.
- Provides leadership to other levels of consultants and assists in their education and development
- Develops summary, detail and dashboard reports and management summaries which present data findings in a professional, concise and readable format appropriate for content and audience. Participate in gaining consensus on guidelines and metric definition. Supports development, tracking, and reporting of scorecard measures and targets. Performs detailed analyses for specific operation and quality initiatives.
What We Require:
Education: BS degree or equivalent with extensive healthcare experience. Masters degree desirable.
Experience: 3 or more years of experience in leadership, consulting, analysis, project management or performance improvement. Prior experience should include the use of the Microsoft Office suite of applications, Project management software or tools, and performance improvement methodologies. The applicant must possess advanced knowledge of the Microsoft Excel application.
Other Minimum Qualifications: Excellent oral and written communications skills, knowledge of business practices, positive attitude, self-motivated, ability to work with minimal direction, ability to lead, and adapt to change.
