How You’ll Help Transform Healthcare:
Researches, documents, and implements new technologies within the organization. Installs both voice and data peripheral technologies, including but not limited to PCs, laptops, printers, mobile phones, tablets including other wireless handheld devices and telephones. Installs and maintains structured cabling plants within Data Center and MDF/IDF environments. Manages and coordinates vendors and other technology teams on small to medium scale technology projects. Aids with onsite and remote observation of technology issues to provide client issue resolution.
- Interfaces with clients, vendors, and multiple teams on small to medium scale projects involving PCs, Laptops, Thin Computing Devices, Phones, Mobile Phones, Tablets/Handheld Wireless Devices and Printers.
- Performs installation and configuration of desktop hardware and peripherals in the enterprise. These include, but are not limited to: PCs, Laptops, Thin Computing Devices, Phones, Mobile Phones, Tablets/Handheld Wireless Devices and Printers.
- Performs installation/deinstallation of ports for both data and telephony needs.
- Demonstrates proficiency in multiple technologies (desktop/laptop hardware, printers, telephony).
- Manages assigned small to medium scale projects and meets deadlines with minimal supervision from more experienced peers, Supervisor and/or Manager.
- Assists in writing Knowledgebase Documents
- Serves as (SME) Subject Matter Expert for at least one technology
What We Require:
Education: Associates Degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.
Experience: Minimum three years experience in computer electronics serving as a technology consultant on small to medium scale projects. Experience in microcomputers and supporting desktop hardware/software required.
Licensure, certification, and/or registration: Valid Virginia drivers' license and dependable transportation. CompTIA A+, CompTIA ITF+. Additionally, the following are preferred, but not required: Avaya ACA / Avaya ACIS, CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Project +, CWNA, Microsoft MCP, Microsoft Specialist Windows 7, Windows 10, Microsoft MCSA Windows 7, MCSA Windows 8, HP Sales Certified – Imaging and Printing Fundamentals along with certifications for individual current Enterprise Models on the Carilion Printer Fleet.
Other Minimum Qualifications: Good organizational skills, analytical, dependable, detail oriented, interpersonal skills, and understanding of the English language (both written and oral). Must have excellent problem solving skills, and be customer service oriented.
